How To Travel The Skychi Travel Guide Live Flying With Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Vacation and Travel can be very stressful with crowds and long lines at the  Airport TSA Security Line. Once I was working a flight as a flight attendant. I was dressed in my blue uniform pants and blazer with blue and white striped blouse passing through the meal detector at the Memphis airport security checkpoint when I heard the TSA Agent stop an elderly woman behind me. She was attempting to bring through security frozen mac 'n cheese casserole dish.  The TSA Agent confiscated the elderly woman's Thanksgiving Dinner Mac 'N Cheese.

Unfortunately frozen foods are not allowed to fly through airport security and onto planes.

You can however fly with fresh baked pies and cakes. So you may bring dessert for Thanksgiving Dinner with your family as TSA does allow these sweet goodies for flying through airport security.

Here is a list of food  and gift items that must be shipped if they are 3.4 oz or more:

Cranberry sauce
Creamy dips and spreads (cheeses, peanut butter, etc.)
Gift baskets with food items (salsa, jams and salad dressings)
Maple syrup
Oils and vinegars
Salad dressing
Snow Globes
Wine, liquor and beer

I have seen many moms with large containers of peanut butter which are not allowed through security as it is considered a gel substance by TSA. You may bring small 3.4 oz containers of peanut butter through security.
