57th Inauguration Memorabilia

Locals in Washington D.C. are celebrating the inauguration with a brunch. Locals love to lounge at brunch with bottomless Mimosas.
A Mimosa is a cocktail served with Champagne and Orange Juice.
A Washington, D.C. local shared with me that she enjoys lounging at a brunch for 8 to 12 hours. One of her favorite spots where she lounged all at brunch during President Obama's first Inauguration was Busboys and Poets. Busboys and Poets is a perfect spot to watch the inauguration  because of the floor length giant screen TV which make the Obamas appear life size. She said, "We felt like we were right there on the Capitol Hill steps with them at the inauguration."

Busboys and Poets  flagship restaurant is located at 14th & K in the Langston Lofts in Washington D.C. historic corridor U Street. The area was coined "Black Broadway" by Pearl Bailey. U Street was formerly home to the largest Urban African American community in the U.S. until the 1920's when Harlem became the largest African American community.

Busboys and Poets adds to the historical significance as a place to watch the second inauguration of our nation's first Black President on the Official  Birthday Holiday of Martin Luther King Jr.

Another "Very Cozy" place according to my friend to lounge on brunch with bottomless Mimosas to celebrate the inauguration is Cuba de Libre which known for unlimited cocktails with brunch.
Instead of being a tourist standing in the cold on the National Mall for the 57th Inauguration, I am joining the local celebration in the Washington D. C. scene lounging at brunch with Mimosas. As President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle dine at the Inaugural Luncheon, I will be watching on a giant screen TV at restaurant.
